According to The Times-Tribune, a running dispute between Scranton neighbors heightened when Bob Bolus filed a lawsuit claiming his neighbors and two companies caused damage to his Birch Street home.
Bolus' suit claims the defendants caused a break in a waterline when a cement mixer drove over an easement during work on neighbor Todd Hartman's home. The truck sank into the ground and had to be removed by a tow truck. This break allegedly caused water to flow into Mr. Bolus' home, resulting in damage.

The lawsuit lists as defendants Heritage Homes Ltd., Scranton Craftsmen Inc., unnamed company employees, neighbors Todd and Carole Hartman, and Michael Oakes and wife Carole Slotterback. The lawsuit states Heritage Homes allowed Scranton Craftsmen to deliver concrete to Mr. Hartman's home. Mr. Hartman said Mr. Bolus has sued him before because he does not like his family living there. "I'm not going to back down from him," Mr. Hartman said.
